Abstract

The objective of this research was to analyze the correlation between digital skills and digital financial literacy, primarily in contexts of the digital divide and unequal access to technology. The method used was a systematic literature review based on the 2020 PRISMA statement. Searches were conducted in Scopus, Web of Science, PubMed/PMC, Springer Nature, OECD/INFE, and SSRN for studies published between 2019 and 2026. Studies lacking empirical evidence, a digital component, or focusing solely on technological infrastructure and traditional financial inclusion were excluded, resulting in the selection of eleven studies. The results show that digital skills strengthen digital financial literacy and promote the functional use of electronic financial services. Among the main findings were the existence of inequalities associated with the digital divide, technological skills, and socioeconomic conditions, particularly in rural areas and among vulnerable populations.
